Ms. Cerruti has been practicing law since 1988 in Family/Matrimonial Law and Mediation and has recently received her training in Collaberative Law. She specializes in divorce law, adoption, children’s issues and complex financial matters. She receives many referrals from other lawyers who need an attorney with accounting and finance expertise to assist in financially complicated divorce cases. A graduate from Seton Hall University Law School, she also has an MBA in Finance and an undergraduate degree in accounting. Ms. Cerruti is certified by the Supreme Court as a Matrimonial Law Attorney and a member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States. She relies on her financial expertise to handle all property division issues, as well as advise clients on areas where family law intersects with estate planning and bankruptcy. Ms. Cerruti was on the Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association – Family Law Section; Executive Board of the Essex County Bar Association – Family Law Section; was the Chair of her section of the Fee Arbitration Committee of the Office of Attorney Ethics; was an investigator for the Attorney Ethics Committee as part of the Office of Attorney Ethics; was a barrister for three years in the Arthur T. Vanderbilt Chapter of American Inns of Court and has authored newsletters for family therapists in three counties since 1990. The newsletters provide the latest developments in family law applicable to marriage and family therapists. Copies of the newsletters are attached for your review. She is a member of the Seton Hall University Athletic Hall of Fame; Hudson County, New Jersey Athletic Hall of Fame, was a club champion in golf, a triathlete, and was a high school and NCAA basketball official for ten years.
